Our Wedding Day 9-12-2009

Okay so this post is a bit out of order in sequence of events however this was the greatest day of my life aside from the birth of our son Skylar Ryan on 11/7/2005. Josh and I are so blessed to have been where we were and to be restored and literally made brand new. If you know us then you know our story and wow....is all I can say. Thank you Lord for loving us and for blessing us so much.
The Kiss....pure sweetness

We did the Sand Ceremony and it was so cute because Skylar took care of pouring ALL of the sand....it was adorable and memorable and I will forever be grateful for these photos that capture the moment perfectly.
We were married at Express Ranches in the Showbarn. I work at Express and they were so awesome in allowing me to have my wedding here. This is an awesome shot.

Love you all!!!

On Fire

I hope you will allow me to be transparent for a moment. I gotta tell you that my feelings got really hurt this past weekend. My heart a little bruised but my Spirit is strong.I learned something very valuable this past weekend as well. Not everyone is going to embrace my faith in Jesus, nor is everyone going to like all the posts that I do everyday all the time. Just so you know….that is okay…..you have the capability to hide my posts if you wish. For those of you that embrace them I thank you so much because I embrace yours as well. I love hearing about my friends and family and seeing where they are at in their life. I absolutely love it. Some are going to spit in my face and tell me that I don’t have a mind or that I can’t think for myself. Some are going to call me a copy cat and if copying the Word of God and putting in a post every time I yawn means that I am a copy cat then I am proud to be one because there is no better word, phrase, saying, quote, verb, noun, adjective (should I keep going) than those taken straight from God’s Word. When I look I see sorrow, sadness, bitterness and some resentment and I know that they aren’t hating me, they are just not happy and the best gift I can give them and myself is forgiveness, love and prayer. I pray for those who hurt so much that they turn to others to try and bring them down. I pray for those who say they love me then no longer are my friend. I pray for them because that is what God has called me to do. I am a prayer warrior and you can bet that if you need prayer, you can ask me to pray for you and I promise that I will pray pray and pray. I am not perfect. I fall short all the time everyday….one thing I do is continually pick myself up and dust myself off and get out my map (THE WORD OF GOD) and I keep on keepin on because I know that my choices today will affect my tomorrow and I want to keep trying to make it in this world that is so full of pain and darkness. I pray that I am a light shining bright (John 12:36). I have a little man that calls me mommy and watches my every single move and I pray that he grows up to love God as much as I do.You see God has redeemed me, forgiven me, restored me, forsaken me and has lifted me out of the pit of darkness, he has delivered me from addiction, pain, and sorrow…he has healed my broken heart…he has saved me from another path that I could have chosen rather than the one that leads me to him. He has BLESSED me with an amazing husband, a beautiful son and family and friends that I would do anything for. He is an amazing God and he is absolutely crazy about me and about you!!!Be Blessed

Ephesians 6:11-17 Put on all of God's armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil.12 For wes are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.13 Therefore, put on every piece of God's armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle you will still be standing firm.14 Stand your ground, putting on the belt of truth and the body armor of God's righteousness.15 For shoes, put on the peace that comes from the Good News so that you will be fully prepared.s16 In addition to all of these, hold up the shield of faith to stop the fiery arrows of the devil.s17 Put on salvation as your helmet, and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

Playing with Skylar

This is how it all started..we had a few hours before I had to go to a photo shoot and I was bored out of my mind...and so was Skylar...we needed some fun...at first he was all into getting is picture taken and then all of a sudden...he did not want his picture taken....I was like...huh? c'mon Skylar...smile for momma.....well he wasn't having any of it.....then............I mean...look at this face.
I used something I had NEVER tried before....reverse psychology......Don't you dare smile for me....I mean it....don't you dare do it......
what.....are you smiling? you better not be :-)

oh yea!!! look at that boy.....now don't you do it Skylar....don't you keep on smiling for me or I am going to get you....

My baby is going to be 4 on November 7th....I cannot believe he is getting so big...turning into a little man. I am one blessed mommy.

Plico Party 2009

We went to a party for my mother-in-law's work and had a good ole time...I was hired to take pictures and was so glad my two handsome boys were there so I could capture this awesome shot. I am just so so blessed to be this man's wife and this little boy's mommy. Thank you God.
I wish that trash can was not there...this is just a sweet picture.

Pops bottle's....it was part of a game....I could not resist to get some details shots.

Yay!! Prizes for the kiddos....fun fun stuff.

Balloons....I used to love popping these things when I was a kid...it was fun to see all the little ones enjoying something that has been around forever!!!

Laura George

This beautiful lady is Laura George...she is the proud grandma to baby Owen who is in the previous post and the mother to Kasey Woody and my friend Leah Burgett. I don't know about you but I just love how God places people in our lives and they are connected in one way or another and I happen to think it's just an amazing blessing to see how he works. Laura and I have a fun time at Will Rogers.

Now I see where her daughter Leah gets her beauty.

I am loving this hat and this woman is just gorgeous!!!

Little over exposed but I love it none the less.

Me and my funky angles

Thank you Laura for a fun time and it was so nice to finally meet you. Congrats on your new grand baby. You are so beautiful inside and out.

Baby Owen

Meet Kasey and Barry Woody...two beautiful soon to be parents who were so excited about their baby boy's arrival. I say "were" because this is actually Baby Owen's debut however I wanted to also introduce his parents. I enjoyed meeting this great couple. Kasey is sister to my friend Leah Burgett whom I went to high school with and we reconnected through facebook and our love for Jesus.
I love selective color
And here he is...Baby Owen.

I went to their home to take these pictures. Took one studio light and a soft box with me. This was my first time doing this and I did some new style of posing that was inspired by a lady who showed a video on her website...Baby Jack {video of a newborn session} « Emily Weaver Brown Photography...I have lots and lots of practice to do before I master the amazing shot this woman did. Very educational and inspiring. (Thank you Leah for sending me the link)

I just love this...he is so precious. I love babies.

Baby Yawns are so sweet

I just love little baby feet....thank you Kasey and Barry for allowing me into your home to take pictures of your sweet little boy.....I look forward to his 3 month pictures.

Jordan Henderson Senior 2010

I met this really nice lady Elisha through a friend whose mother works with me at Express Ranches. She has just been great to work with and when she asked me back in July to do her nephew's senior pictures I was excited and could not wait to meet her. So...here is Jordan...he is a senior at Tuttle High School. So Serious :-)

We went onto the roof of this parking garage and I got this feeling and starting moving my f-stop and my shutter speek and came up with this. I just love it...Thank you God.

Jordan is a FFA Student so we took some pictures with him in his formal FFA attire. He will be attending OSU next year.
Nice young man...followed direction very well...made sure to give me a hard time when I forgot to take the lens cap off.

Good Luck Jordan...may you be blessed in all you do.
