A Meares Family Shoot At The Park

Not too long ago, I took some of my family out to do pictures for my mother-in-law Becky....in these photos you will meet Jeremy and Melissa Meares (brother and sister-in-law), my nephew Jake and nieces Erin and Espyn.....and of course my two handsome boys Josh and Skylar!!

I don't shoot my family much and so this day was really special for me as I got to take pictures of them and I just love that......so to kick it off....you will first see Josh and Skylar.....I love these two boys so much.....

Summer Vacation 2010

We recently took our first ever family vacation. We drove down to Port Aransas, Tx which is down by Padre, Tx. For the first time in my life I saw the ocean, i heard those amazing waves and I thought....wow...God is so good. It was a very special trip for me. I throughly enjoyed my time alone with my two boys...it was so nice to just get away and have some really good quality time...not to mention the spiritual blessing that I experienced while down there. It was just amazing. Here are a few of my favorite photos...some taken with a point and shoot and some with my DSLR....

I love this little man so much....and I pray that as he grows, he grows to love the Lord....I pray Proverbs 22:6...Teach a child the way he should go and when he is old, he will not depart from it....

She is a Princess

I don't really know how else to describe these photos. My friend Deidra Carr looks like an absolute princess. She is a great woman of God, someone I admire, respect and look up to. She counseled me in my darkest moments and filled me with so much love that I am forever grateful. I was so honored to be a part of this special time with her when shooting her bridals.

Wisdom from a child

It wasn't too long ago when Skylar said something and they way he said it made me really take a hard look at myself. We were getting ready for bed and I was so tired and it had been one of those long days and he wasn't moving fast enough...bless his little heart and I raised my voice urging him to do what I wanted him to do and how I wanted him to do it...when in his sweet little Skylar voice he said....mommy you don't have to yell at me....(GULP) He was absolutely right. Sometimes we get so caught up in getting things done or we are so exhausted that we lose sight of those we are taking our frustrations out on. That sweet little boy, more times than not teaches Mommy and Daddy both about how we should parent.

It's so hard to think sometimes that Skylar won't be my only baby for very much longer. Today I try to cherrish our time together, I try to watch my tone with my precious boy, and I relish our alone time together because it won't be too long....and sweet Addalynne Grace will be here....and I will be doubly blessed with 2 precious Souls that the Lord is entrusting me with.

I just love this little man so much....his smile is absolutely priceless....it changes my world every time I see it...and to think that God loves me and Josh so much that he gave us this little boy....I just don't know how I can ever thank him enough, other than to share His love with everyone I come in contact with.

The Dunks Family

LifeStock 2010

Lifestock 2010 was amazing. I had the honor and privilege of shooting the baptisms with a team of other photographers and we were blessed like crazy. It was amazing how God gave me strength to shoot through the tears that blurred my vision. To see people reborn...to see them instantly brought out of the water and light shining from their very souls is captivating to me.I absolutely love my Church and I love the people....I love to see lives changed, hearts restored, and the Kingdom of Heaven forever changed.

Matthew 3:15-16

I love reading this part of scripture where Jesus is telling John that he needs to be baptized and John is like....no way...not me...as if he should not be the one to baptize our sweet Jesus, but Jesus Insisted....check this out!!

But Jesus said, "It should be done, for we must carry out all that God requires." So John agreed to baptize him. After his baptism, as Jesus came up out of the water, the heavens were opened and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and settling on him. And a voice from heaven said, "This is my dearly loved Son, who brings me great joy.

I swear I heard the Lord just praising everyone being baptized on this day...how happy he was to see his Children doing what he requires...

It was a great day, Josh and I grabbed our Senior Pastor for this photo...God has used LifeChurch.tv and Pastor Craig Groeschel to change our lives forever...our marriage was restored and our family is together.
